Linux Academy is seeking a Technical Content Creator to join our Marketing department and support our team and the thousands of businesses and students around the world who learn through our platform. The Technical Content Creator is a critical position to the growth of our platform. Key responsibilities include: Create technical how-tos, use cases, tutorials, and conceptual content Review collateral, website copy, and other work for technical & grammatical accuracy Write blog posts, articles, and lead generation content (such as eBooks, cheat sheets, and more) Develop content calendars Lead the strategy and day-to-day execution on publishing the best content in our industry Work closely with Brand Manager to create content that answers our customers’ questions and drives thought leadership while maintaining a consistent brand voice and message Create content that speaks to our ideal customer profiles Continually learn the newest technology and trends in your areas of focus to ensure high quality and relevancy of content Manage existing content by ensuring it remains up-to-date Maintain our web of internal links to increase user engagement with our blog Contribute to relevant guest blogs or media opportunities to increase inbound links and exposure Collect, analyze, and provide weekly reports on metrics related to content including views, click-throughs, time on page, and more Write and proof convincing copy on landing pages Opportunities for public speaking, podcasting, presenting at meetups, and more (if interested; not required) REQUIREMENTS Exceptional writing and editing skills 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following: AWS, GCP, Linux, DevOps, Containers, or Azure, and experience writing content Ability to organize, plan, and complete goals by deadlines A creative mindset and approach to writing technical content Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels of technical knowledge Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills & data-driven approach, with the ability to identify trends and insights You must be authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship Must be available to work daily in office, located in Keller, TX BENEFITS High compensation with great bonus opportunities Three weeks vacation, one week sick leave Health, dental, vision, life insurance provided free to employee; discounted to spouse/family Free drinks/snacks for office based employees Flexible schedule Simple IRA with non-elective contribution made by Linux Academy, opportunity to make voluntary contribution by employee Satisfaction of helping others grow and learn Opportunity to work with a really exciting, fun team and roll out new projects Compensation increases proportionate to new knowledge gained
