Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Windows Systems Engineer with AWS and strong scripting experience to help support customers in our Compliant Cloud.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with diverse technologies to build tools and automation to eliminate manual operations and create repeatable processes for server maintenance and system tuning. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support for Windows-based hosts and their services and collaborating with Developers and other Cloud Engineers to improve the platform in an agile team environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide operational support for both Linux and Windows customers using our Compliant Cloud.

Provide solution architecture and guidance for Windows customers using our Compliant Cloud.

Ensure Windows hosts are provisioned and maintained in accordance with our policies.

Contribute to and improve our Windows Platform as a Service Offering.

Expected Competencies:
5+ years of experience with enterprise scale Windows server administration

2+ years of experience with Linux server administration

2+ years of hands-on operational experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Certification a strong plus.

Solid knowledge of AWS platform and its services - including but not limited to: Created/Maintained AMIs, Route53, VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM

Expertise in implementing and managing Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Distributed File System (DFS), Group policy management

Experience working with Windows networking and high availability technologies such as failover clustering and load balancing

Strong CLI and API scripting (Power Shell, Bash, Python) and automation skills (Salt, Cloudformation, Chef experience welcome)

Experience with system health monitoring and optimizing performance (CloudWatch, Nagios, Sensu, ElasticSearch)

Administration of web servers running IIS, Nginx, Tomcat
